Silly Winstar 2 Question
Ok,was shooting at quicks.Fella came in with a spanky looking Hoyt Wotsitorother with all the trimmings.We got chatting and he said 'Yeah,used to have a winstar 2..lovely little riser.Problem is it won't take limb poundages of 40lbs or over.It'll shake itself to pieces..'

Is this true? I bought the winstar thinking it'd last at least a couple of limb upgrades (shooting 36lb limbs wound right down atm).I don't really want to buy another yet as I love the winstar

Sorry for the silly question but I can't find any info on the interweb.

I shot 38lb limbs and 39.5lb at the clicker no probs with my old winstar2, it was shot at least three times a week. Its still going fine with its new owner. dont see why it cant take 40+.

started off on a winstar2 with about 38lb on my fingers by the time i switched to my spig

i had no problems with the cheaper riser at all although (now i have something different to compare it to) it MIGHT feel a little 'flexy' under heavier loads - with the same limbs but now holding just over 40lb on my fingers my current riser feels much more stable / 'solid' on release

purely subjective of course

Nah, i've replaced mine with SS bolts, lol.

Mine were very kindly given to me by BowPlus, I don't know where you'd be able to buy some. Quicks were very good at getting spares for my AGF so they seem to keep odds and sodds.
