Wich ACC spine would you recomend?

Well, have decide to buy ACC's, now's the time to select the right spine.

Should i use ACC 3-04 with 50 grains points, or ACC 3L-18 with 82 grains? my head is exploding!! Wich are easier to tune?

Here my spec's:

68" Gold Medalist
38#(can go to 41#, but i want to use a lower strenght)
27" DL (to the front of the bow)

Pleaseeee, help meeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Well, find out that the best is 3-04 with 80 grains point. But all opinions still welcome!

Is that 38# on your fingers?
is 27.5 DL Your correct arrow length? i.e, length to button plus 1 inch

For hours of fun download Easton arrow selector Easton Archery: Downloads

It recommends for 38#
27 DL 3-04 or 3L04
28 DL 3-04

3L-18 is not recommended below 29DL

38# in the fingers, and 27" in the face of the bow.

I was using the program wrong, i was using a shaft lenght of 28,5", instead 27".

I used 3-04 ACCs with my GM at 36# this year, they worked nicely for me!

It maybe a bit late by now, but I wouldn't reccomend the 3L-18's. I have about the same length draw as you (27.5) and shoot 50lb on my fingers, I find that the 3L-18s are about right for me (a little on the weak side, but still sorted with my button).

I'd go with the 3-04 or 3L-04s.

The best thing to do is ask around your club to see if anyone has something close and see if you can try them.
I've found that the Easton spine chart is purely a starting guide, not gospel.
We have someone at our club who is about to try his third set of different spined ACE's and he still hasn't found the right spine for his setup (I won't name names, but he is a coach ).

A reputable shop sold me 3L18 -620 as my first set of carbon-alloy arrows.
I've gone up 4 lbs draw weight (to 38lb) since and using faster limbs and string....they still wont tune!
I have ten if you want them...with 82 gn piles..around 28ins - I'll measure them eh?

No-one's tackled the question of points yet? Is there a standard recommended point weight, or do you have to match it with the desired stiffness of the shaft?

Anyone got any ideas / opinions? (before I go and buy 100 gr. points, because that's all the local shop has...)
