Can anyone tell me what the major advantages would be of a 27 inch riser with 2 inch shorter limbs.

Im very interested in trying the Luxor 27 with 68 limbs to make a 60 inch bow. I currntly shoot 70inch and was wondering what the advantages would be if any?

my understanding is if you were to use shorter limbs they maybe slightly faster, i think anyway

im sure i was told:

23" riser + 70inch limbs slower than 25" riser + 68 inch limbs.

summin to do with making more of the limb work.

again i add "i think"

As Adam explained to me the other day when I was questioning the need for a 27" riser (apart from gorillas who want a 72" bow with "normal" limbs) by having a shorter limb you are bending it more. Therefore there is more energy in the limb, making it faster, although shorter limbs are generally less stable than longer limbs.

Not nessacerily less stable. From what I have read from Vittorio the bow was not 100% focused on 72" bows. It was designed to give more speed with shorter limbs. The long bow is a good side affect. Plus I have it on good authority that this riser has shot a 340 70mt 3dozen so it must work?

They are very similar to the Sureloc range.
