| It's a laser shooting simulator, obviously ![]() Altavista's translation of Стрельба из лука - Учись стрелять из лука - В помощь тренеру is a bit better than google's attempt ![]() Seriously though, it's about measuring, using lasers, the motion of the bowhand prior to the arrow being shot, indications are given that often the bowhand begins to move left before the shot is released.

| I was going to say that the experiment just goes to confirm that once the brain is removed you can shoot better, But after thinking about it, my assumption is wrong. Everybody knows that one the brain is removed you become a footballer! perhaps the onions are footballs?? |

| This from a Russian colleague of mine... ![]() "FW, Please, see translated picture attached. Clearly, the translation is horrible and even VERY FUNNY since it’s a classical case of misuse of dual meaning words. For instance, the word лук in Russian has two meanings: arch and onion. When I read the translation it took me a while to figure out what onions had to do with the picture until I understood and burst out laughing (in fact, it’s hard to imagine a more funny and confusing translation). In two words, the paper deals with a training mechanism designed to track movement of left arm at the moment or arch string release, I guess, and to correct it. If you replace onion with arch in the English version, it will be much easier to understand what’s going on. Dimitry " I guess for Arch you should possibly substitute bow.
