| Riser length vs limb poundage. Im a little hazey on the relation ship of limbs and the riser size. Now Example 25" nexus with 68" limbs at 40# Draw of 28" With 40lb on the fingers (easy fgures to work with). Now what would happen if these same limbs were put on a 23 inch riser? Would you need 2lb lighter limbs to draw the same poundage? My understanding is they would then react 2lb heavier? Is this correct? If so would it be right to assume that these limbs put in a 27inch riser would react 2lb lighter? I would prefer answers from some one who has done serious testing on this (obviously 27inch risers are not avaliable for testing) but please share your thoughts anyway. If you know the comparison with 23 and 25 inch risers that would be a big help.

| It was my understanding that the poundage of limbs always quoted two figures, one for 23" risers and the other for 25" risers. These are the only sizes I've heard of. |

| It maybe but what is that comparison? I dont have my limbs to hand to check and I dont even think they will be on mine as I have 70inch limbs.

| so it would be safe to assue that 27 riser would make it 18#?

| On my old FXs: 36# at 28" on a 25" riser 38# at 28" on a 23" riser On borrowed G3s: 36# on a 25" 38# on a 23" On my current FXs 40# on a 25" 42# on a 23" So Hoyt certainly reckon a 2lb difference at a 28 inch drawlength. Presumably outside that length the difference riser length makes could vary significantly.

| I think you'd be safe to say it would go in that direction but weighing is the only certain answer IMHO

| Apsolutely but unfortunatly no way to test just yet. I did think that I would need to go up 2 pounds more then what I would normally need for a 25 riser but no garantee. Hopefully I will be able to answer these questions soon.

I suggest you ask Vittorio on Saggi about the 27" risers, he makes them after all! Or perhaps the Border boys on here would know? |

| I used to own a 23" Best Zenit. With long XQ-1 limbs at the lightest setting I got 46# at my draw length. The same limbs on a 25" Best Moon (limb bolts out) gave me about 44#. That 2# difference is what you are supposed to get and my experience confirmed it. Dave
