| No. Get out there and accept the fact it's going to be a bit nippy. ![]()

| I'm lucky that I have an indoor bow which does not mean that I have to retune the existing bow for my outdoor arrows, other than that, I have never distinguised between indoors and out. You make the same basic mistakes at 20 yards that you will at 100. I have found it can take a few sessions to get used to the higher trajectory shots if you have only shot indoors for the last few months. I do tend to build the distance (and confidence) up gradually for the first few weeks - 60, then 80 then 100 so I don't risk throwing out all the improvements in bow shoulder position by going from virtually flat trajectory to a high angle shot in one go.

| I've heard of a few people getting ready for the outdoor season but I believe they were thinking ahead about new arrows or other equipment. I would imagine the only way to actually prepare for the outdoor season is to shoot outdoor - sorry C!! ![]()

| i tend to prepare for the outdoors by opening the windows on the extension so i can be cold whilst shooting. is this wat u mean as this is my first transition from indoor to outdoor and er indoors says i only need one bow i am sure i will lose a few on the first few shoots until i adjust mentally as well as physically |

| I always start tuning etc for the outdooe as soon as I have shot mt last indoor comp, when I shot recurve this meant, Changing the string, button and rest height etc. Then using the last month or so indoors to tune the setup. OK so this doesnt involve much shooting outdoors but all you have to do when once outdoors is a walk back tune to confirm the bare shaft test and then get your sightmarks. It gets you off to a flyer, I guess we have all see club members still tuning for the outdoors in May or even later. I will be doing the same with the compound, its off to Lez for an MOT (new cable & string etc) early March as I am not shooting the YAA, and setup for carbons and off I go. Preperation, Preperation, Preperation obvious but true.

| Yep, each year for the last couple of years, I've gone with the squad up to an airforce base in the north of scotland to shoot and tune in one of their hangars Fantastic!Only other preparation I do is make sure my tent is waterproofed, my thermals are in good order and I have a stock of disposable handwarmers ![]() |
