| Chris I use a Bieter site tunnel and I have tried loads of different sight inserts. Personally I prefer the small clear one with a red glow rod. I have got a number of rods cut to 4 different lengths, this is so I can select the one that gives me the correct brightness (for me). I do agree with others that if you use a full lentgh rod in bright conditions it can make the dot far to bright and it becomes difficult to aim properly. I also like just an open ring but I shoot far better with a small dot. Phil |

| I have a glow pin in my current sight, but I'm thinking of dumping it. My previous sight (Arten) had only a circular aperture, and in retrospect I think that was easier to use. I've stuck with the glow pin for a while in order to see if it was just a matter of getting used to it, but I think I still prefer the open aperture.

| I've got a glow pin sight, but I kept snapping the filament, so I now shoot with a really tiny ring inside a normal sized ring. I really must try to get around to getting a replacement.

| I like the small ring within a ring- I started with glow pins but they just got in the way. However, if you're sensing the target as dimmer than the ambient light (& not because you're focusing on the pin) then that may be a good thing- many people shoot better at a duller target (sunglases wearers out there?) |

| I wouldn't have tried a fluoro rod, apart from the fact that i got one in a beiter tunnel, clear apeture with my new sight. Chris

| Glow sight pins I use a glow pin because I have a problem with my aiming eye. I find that the pin helps me to concentrate better and not wander off-centre. |

| I can't shoot with any pin at all. I just use a 9mm Beiter circle. I over aim with pins. There is a science thing to all this, some people are good with pins, some arn't. The human brain likes circles and natauraly tries to centre them. The glow pin kills this process for me. |
