String Speed?

Last night i (stupidly) forgot my normal string, and so took the oppotunity to shoot my new string after streching it over-night, made to the exact same specs as my normal one, except that the serving was shorter (10-15mm(maybe more)) on the centre cause i realised i just didn't need that much serving.

I expected my sight marks to maybe be a bit higher, but i consistently shot 12 o'clock on the 6/7 line on a 60cm face.

Does reducing the centre serving really increase the speed of the string that much or was i just doing some very differant to normal?

Just so people know about the strings..

Normal String-
Material: Dyneema 02
Strand count: 16
Serving BCY #62 XS
Colour: yellowie-orange

new string-
Material: Dyneema 02
Strand count: 16
Serving: BCY #62 XS
Colour: blue

Are you sure that the nocking point was in the same place for the new string? I would not trust a new string until I had bare shaft tuned to get the nocking point right first.

logically for that difference the nocking points are different because the amount of serving can not make that sort of difference
