| Were you shooting the same pile weight and arrow cut length Buzz? I don't think you will get many answers to your question bye the way!

| You can have one from me though: I've gone a spine lighter & had awful contact with the rest, shelf & riser. Scores dropped hugely. YMMV

| You can get away with murder shooting indoors at one distance. I recently got my old Infinite/Synergy back and have tried 610, 570 and 520 Aces and 1916 platinums. All of these could be shot indoors with a bit of tweaking of the button and sight. Very different story outdoors when it is essential to get a good tune to ensure a veticle drop (walkback) for the various distances. And no, this dosn't mean I'm going back to recurve. Then again.........?

| Well for the last week or so I have been shooting my cartel triple 800 28" and some ACE 470 28" and 90 grain points for the triples and 100 grain on the ACE and indoors they ALL group together yet they are approx four spines diff between them and my draw weight on the fingers is just under 42lbs. Both sets have good clearance and on the same button pressure. My portsmouth averages have dropped to just over 550 from 560 but then with increasing poundage by 4lbs in just over two months that is to be expected.

| yes you can get away with murder shooting different spined arrows indoors because there is less time for the arrow to do stupid things before it hits the target, having the wrong spine is not greatly effected in perfect releases and shots, (hence compound can shoot varying spines and still get good scores) but if you pull out a bad shot or four then the difference will be greatly exagerated than if you had the correct spine |

| FWIW, the best ever Portsmouth score I've shot for a postal league was with a set of ACE 400s with two inches off the back. 46# bow, 29.25" total length of arrow. Spine? Whassat....? ![]()

| x7s I decided to go for some heavy duty as kept tail ending my tripples indoors so I order 2314 x7 5 inch feathers and standerd points and when I tested for bare shafts it was like a boomerang so doctord the points to about 225grain and set the sights and button and hey prest a perfectly untuned arrow that got me a 584 portmouth but I would say no way would I take these out doors as they might just come back to me ![]() |

| I shoot 500 spine Fatboys indoors. The bare shaft hits 15" to the left, but the fletched arrow hit where I aim most of the time. A better tuned arrow/bow will give some leeway for a poor shot, but who is after perfection, must go and soften the button slightly! |
