bow weight 28 with Jazz 28" arrows the spline for your arrows should be 1813 with point weight 229 or 1816 with point weight of 270.

so if the spline on the arrow says 1813 or 1816 they should be ok.

I will check the arrows tonight, I should know the set up but I don't yet.

I sight with my right eye.

I'm just away to order a bow sling from Merlin to see if this makes any difference to my release.

No it was bought online but I tried out a few of the other archers bows at the club and they made their recommendation of what draw weight etc I should buy based on that. I'd have liked to have tried it out first but there aren't many shops that I know of up here.

right. how was you able to order arrrows without your bow weight?
ask at your club and check your weight on fingers with a bow scale, someone would have one.
and you can get the spline table to download from the easton web site.

They gave me a note of what bow size, draw weight and arrow length to go for. I don't really know how they worked it all out, I trusted their judgment on this as they seem to know more than me!

I'll ask around next week and see if anyone has a bow scale.

Steve I agree whole heartedly in Some cases- my own route hamperred by doing so though.

I'd advise to bear in mind ' the loudest voice isn't necessarily the best informed '

I spent 3 months or more listenning to the 'best shots'...with the 'worst advice' on tuning a bow to suit ME... I had an 'engineer' screw up my limb alignment system...first class archers choose me the wrong spine arrow....'coaches' advise me too long a draw length.. the club champion advise me on a riser that just didn't work for me....friends prescribe the wrong length limbs..well meaning 'mates' loading my bow so heavily I could barely lift it..excellent shooters move my clicker to my dis-benefit..and so on..

And all of them Meant well - with the best intentions- so no grudge to bear.
Best advice- Learn all you can for yourself...listen, collate, thank others for their time........trust no-one else to 'pack YOUR parachute'-

OR get a highly regarded PRO retailer to help- buy a days tuning session if you have to and save many many tears!

I'm merely stating my experience, without wishing to offend those that actually DO have the ability to help not hinder newbies.

As credentials I will offer up that I hold the GNAS medal for most improved handicap over the season- the same season I stopped being influenced by 'helpful' people and learned for myself!

This question can only really be answered by someone standing with you and watching while you shoot but...
Assuming you are shooting indoors, and at about 20yards, the amount that you are "out" and the (actually quite large) variation in direction suggests that it is not a tuning issue but a form issue. I would have checked your eye use first, as others have suggested: can you actually close your left eye so that you can only use your right eye (some can't); are you perhaps opening your left eye for some shots. Then check your stance and alignment: are your shoulders in line with the target; are you twisting your body to get into line? If that is the case, you could be "untwisting" on release, with your bow hand inadvertently moving the bow right before the arrow has left the rest. Is your reference point consistent: any variation here can be translated into horizontal variation at the target. Also, look at your grip on the bow: are you holding it in line, or is your wrist out to the side? Does your wrist remain in line after release, or is it "cocking", and twisting your bow to the right? Is your bow upright: if you lean it to one side, that will affect the arrow's path. Finally, do you look to see where your arrow has landed before you hear it hit the target? All the last few questions really relate to moving your bow before the arrow has really left it.
In fact, I would guess at a combination of many, if not all, of these! Welcome to archery.
