Sunglasses

Do you wear sunglasses on the shooting line?

What?

I don't wear contact lenses but I know I need some visual aid because I can't see my arrows at 30m!

Can you properly wear sunglasses behind contact lenses?

On a side note.... What do you think of the Easton Ultra Lite Z-Bladz?

I have tried two or three styles of sunnies on the line.

Of these the most acceptable was the Oakley M Frames

the advantage is the fact the lens is one piece.

I wear these too... I find the lens doesn't distort the picture also as many tend to do so!

My hubby has just bought me some razor sunglasses (with a rainbow on the mirror effect) wrap around so I cannot wait to try them dont think I will be able to shoot in them tho as I can not see thro scope on bow with my reading glasses because the bridge is in the way.

I use several types of Oakleys depending on which set I have to hand. Great brand and worth every penny

I can't wear any form of glasses with my compound as I find that either the frame gets in the way or the magnification of the lens (I have prescription sunglasses) makes it almost impossible to see. However, with my recurve I've got no problems shooting in aviators. All you need to do is make sure that the sunglasses have a small bridge.

My next want is a prescription pair of M frames, but even normal ones are £200 let alone prescrition ones.

I've tried many, many types of sunglasses to wear while shooting. I've never been able to get on shooting wearing glasses (hurrah for contacts!), so sunglasses have also been an issue. I found a pair that worked really well (see my Usual Suspects photo), but some bright spark at the club broke them But last summer I found some Rare Species wraps at Blacks that work a treat. They stay flat to my face and the nose piece doesn't block my vision like many other sport-specific wraps have. And they're purple!!!

I find putting the sunglasses infront of the contact lenses is more comfortable

This would be very very intresting to watch

Back to topic

I have just ordered some Oakley M frames from the USA as I personally think these will be the best for both optics and uniformed light level
ie no light entering from sides of glasses etc.
But then everyone to thier own I suppose.

Another advantage of the Oakleys fr those with money is they do certain models in an ARRAY package for sports like golf cycling and more importantlyfor archers shooting array these come with either 2 or 3 interchangable lenses.
