TXGs aren't purple. Well at least mine aren't ?
They're a sort of bronze / titanium colour with gold logo's. Quite why Border describe the colour as amethyst I don't know. Looks very niiiiiice with the carbon/yellow of my Fibrebow.

It also depends on your drawlength; if you have a very long draw, the Borders are likely to feel better.

ps. I forgot to say. The most important question is; which one goes with the colour of your riser??
Firstly thanks everyone for you replies have a each by way of thanks.
Cheapest round ever. Trying new retail limbs is difficult as few if any shops have both in stock.
Colour isn't an issue, my axis is mottled dark red and colour is not an issue unless they are a garish in your face look at me colour.
It's about what they do, rather than what they look like.
Bought the Axis after having an Eclipse, just like the style and the feel the riser provides. My eclipse is blue, Axis Red therefore not into any particular colour.

Okaaayy... maybe it's a new colour? I genuinely don't know, but I have seen two pairs which are white with (I think) gold writing, and one pair which are a sort of shiny medium grey, which apparently was an optional colour, and that archer described the standard colour as "purple". Also the image on the Border website is definitely blueish purple. When did you get yours?

I see what you mean, there's definitely a purple haze going on on the Border website. I got mine a few weeks ago, they definitely are the shiny grey variety. I didn't ask for an optional colour so maybe this is how they come now?

No matter what the colour is I just want to shoot my Hex-5s... And really any colour would match new set-up imo and something out there like purple would actually be pretty good lol.

colour

The colour we get is called Amethyst. It is a darkish grey and the reason for it is that it fits well with most risers. It has a slight hue of purple to it in certain lights. We here, have also had this debate. But the "name on the tin" says Amethyst so all discussion dies here when someone points that one out, with several of us left with "but!!!"
We have been using it for the last 4 years at a guess. It is our standard colour unless you ask for something else. Pink if you want!

Dave has just read this...

He has just told me that his personal favourite is a pearlescent finish that we used to do on the white based Silvers.

My personal favourite was the wood effect finish that you did before the Talisman limbs.
