| I've fletched my Kurlies straight according to the guidelines on my Socx wraps. Even so, there appears to be a slight offset due, presumably, to the design of the vane. I figured that fletching with any degree of angle would necessarily slow down the flight of the arrow and that this would not be a good idea. Having said that, I would be quite prepared to experiment as needs dictate. I guess trying the options is all part of the 'fun'.

| I fletch with about 2 degrees of angle okay it looses a bit of distance but its a lot more stable than straight they seem to wag a bit when really straight! |

| Kurlys Hello There, I have recently been experimenting with this exact same thing, the results for myself show that with a 1 degree offset the arrows fly straight and true to 70m after this they start to parachute and drop quickly. can only just hit 90m with sight all in and all down. However with the kurlys on straight I can easily hit 90m at full sight extension and arrow flight and groups remain stable at the lesser distances. I shoot 30" 400 Triple's with ~41# on fingers 1 3/4" Flou Orange Kurlys ![]() My Vote : Put them on straight Alex ![]() edit:with actual spin-wings i find 1 degree ofset is fine they seem to have to just have less built in offset. |

| I just got some aces with spinwings - they did them with a one degree offset. Haven't had a chance to try them outdoors yet, will have to wait until next wednesday for that. Just out of interest, is there a difference between spins and kurlys?

| I fletched two arrows with 1.75" vanes straight (fletching other four tonight). The curl shape is such that definetely it must be more than enough to make the arrow spin fast. On the other hand the 1.5" vane curl is much less pronounced and could perhaps benefit from some angle. Still I fletched two arrows with them straight just to see how they behave the next time I go to the field. ![]() Elder |
