Just another shiny site full of flash animation, videos, a load of advertisement, and no useful info.

Guess they were busy building this web site instead of getting my order for CX900 limbs right (sent the wrong limbs twice and then just didn't deliver for weeks).

*sigh*

lots of criticism, but nothing constructive. if you think there isn't enough info, why not email hoyt, or better yet, pm gtek who is a member here and works for them. why not offer up some suggestions on what you'd like to see rather than moaning about what you don't see?

frankly, i think it looks good and i like the pro staff section. nice to put faces to some of these archers. and yes, more information would be good, but it's a new website and they are often launched in stages. as my company is in the midst of a new website launch, i know how many roadblocks we've run into. we decided it was better to get it up 80% done than wait a few more months without web presence.

I like the article titled "So… how do I decide between the Helix and the Nexus?" which then goes on to basically say "the nexus is much better"
How do I decide? Buy a Nexus! Excellent! (Genuine non-knocking the hoyt website comment so no need to GROAN at me)
<edit> Perhaps i should qualify why I think it is a great article. We get lots of posts on here asking "which/what is the best......" and usually there is no answer as so many things are personal choice, but for hoyt to say "this one is so much better than that one" is refreshing</edit>
<additional edit>
Why do tec compounds feature so frequently on a hoyt "recurve" site?
</additional edit>

As a startup site, I agree the new Hoyt recurve site is not as good as it could - and will- be.

In the next few weeks the utility of the site will much improve, and I plan to have quite a bit of information available there in multiple languages.

Some is already available but perhaps requires a bit of digging to find. That needs correction. We also lost a lot of Pro Staff photos and bios in the server transfer, and that is being worked on.

On the other hand, most of the English is recognizable as such, even to the readers here- in contrast to some other sites I have seen.

While I think the reactions here are quite telling about the overall atmosphere of this particular forum (in surprisingly sharp contrast with the reactions of other fora currently discussing this subject), constructive criticism is most welcome.
