Helix and Nexus - Hoyt guide

I've seen a few debates on here about the helix and the nexus - and was interested to see hoyt offer the slogan "should I choose the helix, or the nexus?"

Thought I'd share - it's mostly what is obvious anyway, but I thought the vibration graphs were certainly quite interesting.

I would say that the Nexus is a perfect riser for the one who wants a heavy riser. I find one problem with it though, it's the grip. I love deep grips it's just that it is shaped in a way that makes your hand slip in wich give you a better chance of hitting your arm with the string.
Wich I did twice today and 4 times yesterday.
It hurts like hell.

the nexus takes out high frequency vibrations because of the 'rizer shox' widget - but it doesn't absorb low frequencies, instead being designed to flex, whereas the helix's tec bar absorbs the low frequencies. i must say i would like to shoot a nexus to see how it compares, because the helix is absolutely rock solid to shoot (which is what i love about it most).

Sorry dude, if this is the case then your putting your hand into the grip wrong. This shouldn't be happening with good form.

If your interested, I have some .pdf files that show an "approved" grip, which would give you a good starting point for improving your technique.

Kae.
