Advice please - on mixing it up!

I am a member of NFAS and a field archery club and I love it. I like the "back to basics" aproach like using a bow without sights and all the other add ons.

I shoot a vintage Pro Medalist (metal riser pulling 39lbs at 28" (although my draw is shorter than that)

The club I'm a member of has had to cut back on the number of days we are allowed to access the shoot (for whatever reason), that means that sometimes I dont get to shoot for a couple of weeks.

Now I'm not into entering all the comps, I just want to be content that I am improving and my target average is going up.

Heres the question, I have found out there is a target archery club about 5 mis away from me that shoots 2 times weekly. I don't really want to get involved with all the competitions classes, ratings etc, but I need to shoot, and I prefer to use the old Hoyt, but I do own a more up to date bow that I can use if I want to.

Would I be allowed to just "practise" or would I be required to "conform" to target archery.

Our club lets archers do what they want. If they just want to practice 10yds for the rest of their life, we wont stop them. This club near you should be the same. As long as your paying fee's they cant complain. As long as you follow target rules of shooting and conduct then there wont be any problems.

As long as you adhere to the standard safety guidlines....you should be able to shoot whatever you want.

This includes kit!!!

You will most like be required to join GNAS so that you are covered by their insurance.
