I dont think I "need" the extra long arm guard anymore apart from tucking the sleeve of my tee shirt into

I was "scared" of the bow when I first started, I was hitting my arm all over, the extra protection helped me settle down!!

Had to use Micropore tape for my sleeve in the wind yesterday. Worked a treat and I didn't have to wear a titty-tector!

mine too. when i forgot to put it on one evening, my arrows were snagging on my clothes and going right off the target. changed the windage and then realised what i'd forgotten. put it on, all the arrows went off the other side a very good lesson!

I do get an unfortunate amount of chest contact due to body shape, but with a good slick chestguard, it's not a problem to my groups.
me too. ArrowheadUK's hybrid chestguard is a nice surface to shoot off.

You may find that if you do things slightly wrong, you end up bruised, though. Doesn't have to be much, just a little more pressure can raise a ridge of flesh, which catches as you release.
oooh, ouch - get them on here and give them a Fonz?! Doesn't bear thinking about!!

when shooting normal paractice i dont wear one, out club shirts are logo free on the string side, i have not had the pleasure of striking my chest with the string. (mind you seeing the coldest it gets during the day is low 20deg C in winter we can wear polo shirts)
However, seeing as my work shirt has the inevitable top pockets i do wear a chest guard for when i go to the indoor for practice to prevent catching.
