| Hi Janice, welcome to this mad world!
I read this post the other day, and personally, I thought Fur face got it spot on. I had a chance to discuss the issue with an old, semi retired archer friend, who has developed new archers up to world, European and national champion levels. He completely agrees with FF too. With the problems you identified, and being naturally left handed, it would be best for you to shoot left handed, and deal with the eye dominance as FF suggested.
My daughter, now 10 has shot first class scores from the day she picked up a bow, and she also is opposite eye dominant. By dimming her dominant eye, she demonstrates the validity of FF's suggestion.
The kisser button suggestion? It seems to be a very "out of fashion" item nowadays, but we both felt it was a good suggestion for you. The kisser is a proven piece of kit.
The clini band is OK, but have you seen those Saunders exercisers that look like a catapult, with two bands. I was looking at a cheaper version in Merlin's shop the other day. They give the feel of actually drawing the bow at the same time as developing the muscles.
It has two different weights of elastic. You can use one at once, or both to get three different draw weights from about 15 pounds to over 30. You can buy dumbbell weights that clip onto them. The weights are VERY expensive, a cheap velcro cuff aerobic weight is just as good, or use insulating tape to fasten a cheap plastic coated aerobic dumbbell weight onto it. I did !
One good tip with these. The elastic pinches the fingers because of the small distance between the arms. I use one of those plastic carrier bag handle holders to pull the elastic. Makes it much more pleasant to draw. I let Clicki have mine, you could ask her how it feels to use. I'm going to buy myself another, just to help getting over the torn bow arm tendons problem I've been having.
Enjoy the shooting. But beware it can become addictive!
