I use the mini Blazers for Compound Limited and they are fantastic, however I tried them off a recurve and they make the arrows kick a bit as they leave the bow (using a stick on hunter rest) I think this is because they are quite stiff and have very little give, you may get better results with a different rest but In my experiance they are not so good off a plastic stick on.

I use 1" Micro Blazer vanes on my Navigators, shooting from 18m to 100 yards. They are on some Fatboys specifically for winter frostbites at 30m. I like them, they are tough, light and less affected by crosswinds, especially at distance.

That would depend on your draw length...

I'd use the Bohning Mini Blazers on your compound and Bohning 1 1/2" Shield Cut X-Vanes on your recurve (I do and they fly very well). You could also use the X-Vanes on your compound, I believe Marcus26 swears by them.

Bohning make very good vanes, in my opinion.

As for the arrows, what Thunk said (assuming 37lbs is the weight on your fingers).
