Just to clarify, OB is Arrowhead UK, not Arrowsmith Components, he doesn't make the Triple points. As far as I'm aware Arrowsmith don't have a presence on AIUK.

I really don't understand why people see a different method as a problem - what difference does it make how they arrive at the number as long as they tell you what it suits?

Yeah, I know, a normal G nock doesn't fit the pin, I meant this one:

We got used to the Easton method, that's all.

And I really want to buy the best spine for me.

There is a chart for Easton and a different chart for Cartel - neither of which can claim to be totally accurate for all archers. I'm assuming that most people use the charts to make a choice rather than repeating the manufacturers methods to establish spine, so it doesn't really matter which method is employed by them. As far as I can establish, and from what many more knowledgeable than myself have suggested, Eastons chart tends to lean toward a stiffer choice, whilst Cartels tends to go the other way. Still a bit hit and miss in either camp.

You are right, I can't be sure... Which spine do you use for your setup?

Yes... Complete rubbish. Whether or not Cartel uses anything like that method, it bears no relation to any published chart (by Cartel or anyone else). The Triple shaft codes are just that - codes. If there is a correspondence to spines, it's only a rough one.

For what it's worth, I currently use Triple 700s with a length around 27.5 inches and a measured draw weight of just over 42lbs. The points are 100gr IIRC. They seem to be a fairly mid-range tune with that setup. Software suggests I'd be using a 670 ACE...

True I've removed the reference in the wiki to how Cartel apparently measure spine as it's pretty irrelevant anyway
