Seb Flute Pro....

Anyone tried the new Seb Flute Pro riser???

Looks like they have modified the limb adjustment & alignment system, and added a rubberised grip, similar to the ProAccent.

Also, how does it compare to the original SF superforged riser??? ie. grip comfort, general feel of shot... or for that matter a Winact riser....

Sadly I haven't, no. But quite happy to test one if someone's offering....

Give me £170 and I'll let you know!

Yep, that's the main changes from what I've seen, plus different paint schemes. Otherwise the basic riser forging looks to be the same....more an evolution than revolution.

Would I buy one? Yes, probably, if I had the money. Therein lies the problem.

Word on the range is that it should be quite similar to shoot, just easier to adjust (with adjustments which remain adjusted more reliably too). There are rumours of better build quality, presumably in terms of riser straightness.

There were no glaring issues with the normal riser, so it's essentially a facelifted version with a more upmarket image to compete with risers such as the Nexus and NX, which it compares quite well against.

First Impressions....

Just had my new Seb Flute Pro delivered....

First Impression - WOW!!!! It looks very sexy indeed. Colour scheme is different from previous version - now in solid colours. I opted for the black version, and it looks to have a very subtle metal/silver flake through it. Maybe giving it a bit of a graphite look as opposed to a solid black.

The new grip looks nice. The original wood grip has been replaced with a rubberised version (aledgedly the same as the Pro Accent). If feels very nice in the hand. It is also VERY smooth....it'll be interesting to see what happens with slippery hands.

Balance feels very nice. When holding in the hand without limbs, the riser rest pretty much vertically. The eclipse tends to tilt back towards your face ie. top heavy. How this will relate to actual shooting characteristics, I don't know, but I plan on finding out tonight.

Over all, I think the new version of the riser looks classier than the old one (amazing what a paint job can do), all be it, its the same riser. Really looking forward to getting all my bits 'n bobs attached and seeing how it shoots.....

Thanks for posting this. I'm thinking about getting one of these (still!). It's either this, a Winact, or a Samick Masters.

Nice to know you like it

Thanks for this DarthTer, and for the update on your blog.

Noww all I gotta do is convince my wife^H^H^H^Hfinancial adviser that I need a new riser....."We wants it, we needs it. Must have the Precious."
