Getting your corect draw length is totally dependant on having consistent form. Once your tecnique is right, this is before you'd be using a clicker, you set yourself up properly as if to shoot, draw to your normal rear reference, essentially where you "stop" drawing and that's your draw length. Your clicker would then be positioned just prior to this length which then means as you increase your back tension the tip of the arrow will come through the clicker.

The real trick is to ensure that when you draw to your rear reference you don't go all muscular and over draw the bow.

Draw length measured on an arrow with markings is only as good as the archer's ability to draw, to a length, with consistency. The draw length, that is right for the archer, is not so easily found as it would seem.
A relaxed bow hand, a bow shoulder that is seated low and relaxed are important features of the front end of things. The drawing elbow and hand, in line with the arrow, when viewed from above, is also important; as is the elbow's height in relation to the drawing hand(about 1" above)
When these features are in place, the draw length can be repeated with a good degree of consistency and then a measurement will be valid. From then on, it may change a little but not enough to require a change of bow length.
