Not at all! I'll be ordering a red one from Leigh, to match my bow.

I got an email from Leigh:

You need to choose your reticle, ie. Stick on dot or circle
or optic fibre (select size 0.02, 0.03, 0.04") see website www.titanscopes.com
Package comes with the sight pin including one lens and O ring fitted. 3 extra O rings to vary aperture size and a spare optic fibre.
Standard rod is 8/32 , 10/32 is an option.

So I suspect I'll order an extra lens or two and rings and dots. I tried a friends bow with a fibre once and found it just shouted 'Look at me!'

Extra lenses are (were) AUD$39 each... or around £15. Just something to bear in mind. Maybe Field Archer could be pursuaded to part with his...?

So I wasn't the only one who did that! It went very nicely with my blue W&W Toutall. But now I've got a black Hoyt Axis, I'm thinking that I need to buy a black Titan...

Its nice that we can also touch our femine side and colour co-ordinate things.

As you would only need the outer housing you could ask Leigh if he can supply one, at a reduced cost of course.

do these actually magnify the target? how do they relate to being tournament legal??

They have a 0 power lens so do not magnify the target. They have been approved by FITA and so are legal.

They don't magnify the target as they are FITA legal for recurves. One person at York has one, he tried to justify it by saying "It lets more light onto the lens and illuminates it better".

Okay Michael. So, A pane of glass lets more light onto a lens than fresh air? What's the advantage of using these over a normal ring/pin setup? Because i'm strugging to see the point of them...surely when it rains the target gets obscured?

Actually its not a lens its a piece of Hoya multi-coated optical glass and thus provides no magnification, hence totally legal with FITA.

I had the same problem when I got my Beiter sight. I found that if I reduced the brightness of the dot by cutting the rod down it was no longer a problem. I have different length rods for different levels of brightness.

Rain just beads off it cleanly -- the target doesn't become obscured.

The advantages for me are:

• the large ring seems to relax my eye better
• no pillar is needed to hold the fibre/reticle in place. I hate pillars in apertures
• it looks durn good!
