| About 100mm down from the location dowel, where the thickest laminate fades out and where you put the limb saver. All three sets I have seen went in the same place. Robbie |

| Was unfortunate to have limb delaminate myself friday 30th june mine was top limb Petron S3 Carbon 68" 42# 2 layers of laminate from belly of bow delaminated 2/3 length from pocket end to tip, caused limb to pop out of universal pocket when loosed and ended up with a very lop sided bow when reinserted. As per previouse posts looking for replacements but interested in any more delamination iunfo before i fork out for more limbs. Lost my first set of challengers to a strip delamination on lower limb, bow drawn back to chin strip poking out from front of bow scary.

| I don't know the details of the XQ1 problems, just that there were a lot of reports before they were (abruptly) replaced by the next generation of W&W limbs. The Synerzy's... I've heard scuttlebutt about problems, but not enough to really make a case. I think they changed the design part way through the lifespan of the limb - old ones had a layer of Ti which was taken out in the later models - because of issues with the lamination, but that's just rumour... Two different sorts of issue I think - the XQ1s either gave way rapidly, or were good, while I suspect the Synerzys might have a limited lifespan. Trouble is, You've both been shooting them a fair while, so I can see a mfr/retailer saying 'not a defect, wear and tear' and after 6 months use, you would have to prove it was a defect. Might be worth contacting W&W to ask though. It might be worth the PR to them, to do something for you. Quote:

| Hi Rik, The retailer has replied to me tonight and has been more sypathetic than I expected, has promised to contact W+W to see what might be done. If I get a result I will certainly name names. |

| Never assume that you fully understand the trading standards regulations. Manufacturers warranty periods mean nothing if there is a manufacturing defect and the goods are not suitable for the purpose for which they were sold. If you don't get the result you want get some advice! Good luck Stretch |

| Just in case anyone is reading this thread still. I wanted to report that the retailer that supplied the original W&W Synerzy limbs that failed, were more than helpfull. Although the limbs were well out of warranty they took a responsible view and offered a deal that was well in excess of anything I had expected or hoped. I don't want to go in to detail but it's enough to say they will have 100% of my custom in future - It was Bowsports, and I publicly want to thank Nick Aston for his help and advice. Robbie |

| I would be interested if anyone has come across this problem. My son shoots a KAP Surprise Bow with KAP Pro style limbs. When he was shooting at our club a 4cm splinter detatched from the edge of the lower limb near the tip and hooked itself into his thigh. The limbs are only 5 months old and will have fired no more than 2000 arrows. They have not been left in a hot car and are kept in their original wrappers in a case. I would be interested to know if anyone has come across anything similar. |

| The surprise limbs are well known for going 'surprise!!!!' and delaminating. London Archers have had loads delaminate over the course of last year and this year.
