Your first bow: How did you play it?

my advice is buy the best riser you can afford and get inexpensive everything else for it to start. you will go up in poundage and change limbs within a year or 2. if you ever decide to stop, the better riser will have good resale value. if you stay shooting for life a good riser will last most of it. there are a number of good risers on the market and good deals used as well. hoyt matrix is excellent and probably what i would recommend, win & win, samick also have really good risers. but each company also has a low end starter. all will shoot, but a great riser will last you forever and never go out of style.

all the other components you will grow into....sights, strings, arrows, customised quivers, rain gear, cases, apparel, oh the addiction....hehe

First bow: really cheap club-type bow with screw-on limbs and hunting arrows (hey, I was in the US at the time and it was all I could get!).

First REAL bow: some really lovely mods had their eyes open at the right time and gifted me with a lovely bow. I'm a lucky girl

And no, I'm not gonna blow squillions of squids on my first bow, as like you've all said, poundage will go up.

Now comes the choice of colour, hehe

You have to reflect yourself in your kit somehow

I this evening shot a fellow club members Exfeel, it was nice & smooth, nicely balanced and just felt great...I want one, I need one...

Tarkwin - FFS mate MTFU. Flog your Toz for £50 on ebay (doable - hell, I might know people that want one), grope down the back of the sofa, in the car, in the bowcase and any other places where loose change gets kept for the other £50 and your sorted.
