First gear ever.

Hi I'm from Ireland don't know if this posted already.

I'm getting first gear never used an actual bow before.
What are the price's for a decent starter's bow or does anyone know of an online store that ships to Ireland?.

All the clubs in my area are associated with universities ETC have to be a student in respective uni/Col.

Are merlin bows any good?

They recommend the knight recurve,

I'd like a recurve.

Merlin are a very reputable company with an enviable reputation for customer service. There are several suppliers you could try, most of them with links from this site (see 'Links' on the menu bar at top of page). Most if not all will cater for your needs very well, but if Merlin are recommending something having explored your needs, I would be inclined to give them a go.

If you are from Ireland, dont buy any equipment untill after you have gone to a club for a while. The members will then advise you in your purchase.

Were are you based, some of the university clubs alow non students to shoot if they jion the sports centre.

Hi vertek! id recommend going to a club for a few weeks and trying out a variety of kit before committing to buy, but i can recommend the Knight wooden recurve, i bought one from merlin as my first bow and loved it

Kinda with i hadnt passed it on now, so comfy to shoot with
