Is this limb safe ?

I've been offered a set of G3 limbs by a friend which are in perfect condition except for a chip on the end of the bottom limb where he dropped it one night whilst shooting indoors.

Question is will this have caused damage to the limb - he has used them since with no issue but before I fork out my cash would welcome your opinions.

The chip has gone through the first layer of varnish by the looks of it - see pic below....

I agree with Fox, looks purely cosmetic. So long as there are no cracks where the string loop sits it should shoot fine. Check for any other damage and if there is non, don't worry, bow limbs are pretty resilient these days

I wish my G3's looked as good at the end, Leigh I bounced mine when I got them 18 months ago and they've held up fine*

Don't listen to any of the nasty boys, your tips are perfectly normal, you've got nice tips.

Yep, seen much worse, you'll be fine with those
