Forest Princess hi, you said that you collected marksman bows. I have a forest princess, i really don't think I want to sell it, but i was wondering what inspired you to collect these particular bows. I don't know much about them, are they uncommon?

I have a KG1, a TD75, a Forest Knight, and I had a Princess until I met Charlotte, and talked her into taking up the sport. She has claimed the Princess for her own and shoots trad with it. I think that Les Howis would be pleased to know that it's still being used, and she took the gold in the English Champs last weekend, so we know that it still works! Thanks Daniel

Marksman Bows I realise this reply is a long time after the question, but Marksman Bows are not to be regarded as 'standard' like most of the current bows. Draw weight on the shorter bows, (63 inch), was measurted at 26 inches and most importantly, any figures for bracing height may seem high as they were measures to the back of the bow, (furthest away edge) not the grip or button. Only the Ikon measured to the button and this was the only bow they made with International fittings.

Marksman Bracing height These older bows measure the bracing height to the far edge of the bow, therefore any figures you will see quoted may appear 1.75 inches or more higher than you may expect. Whatever you do don't try to shoot it with a 9 inch bracing height to the grip or button. Also the 63 or shorter bows measured the draw weight at 26 inches.
