| I was told that Hoyt operate a +/- 5% adjustment to their risers, unlike Win & Win who use +10%. I only found this out after I bought my riser and limbs and then proceeded to wind them up, only to find that with it set to maximum I wasn't getting the poundage I expected, obviously all I could go up was 5% not the 10% I expected. My previous riser was Win & Win and I just presomed, quite wrongly, that they all adjusted the same. We learn something new every day!!!

| Just reading my Hoyt GM recurve manual it says " The weight on most Hoyt bows is adjustable in a range of approximately 10%" I have increased 36 lb limbs to a measured 39 and a bit using bow scales. And Hoyt GM (and indeed all Hoyt recurve manuals - being the same one) available from here http://www.hoyt.com/technical/bowmanuals.tpl lists manuals from 2006-2002, although I have a 2001 manual and it seems to be identical to the next years. Hope this helps

| The manual for the 2006 model is on the Hoyt website, its called the 2006 recurve manual but its not exactly a mine of information I have to say. THIS should get you what you want I hope your GM gives you as much pleasure at mine gives me. |

| hoyt limbs i shot Gs 3's for almost 2 years. i could get 46lbs out of my 36 lb limbs. i draw alittle past 28 inches which helped alittle but i still could get 10 lbs over limb weight. Same for my samicks. i can get 54 lbs out of 42 lb limbs. my riser is an aerotec.

| dth, I was only quoting what it says in my 2005 manual: +/- 5%. So from the adjuster fully out to fully in this will give approximately 10% adjustment. But you must bear in mind with the adjuster fully out the draw weight will be approximately 5% below that shown on the limbs.

| Don't forget when you're talking about poundage adjustment on limbs that if the limbs are made by hoyt then the specified poundage is measured with the limb pockets in the middle of there settings, unlike win & win who measure from the bottom of the limb pocket adjustment.

| You have to take adjustment ranges with a pinch of salt. The lower end depends on how far out you can safely unwind the bolts. The upper end depends on how far in they will go (less of a judgement call then the lower end) and the marked limb weight will not necessarily be dead accurate... |
