| If he sends the Nishi to me, I will love it, cherish it, polish it every day... ![]() As for the sirius - at the risk of inciting the wrath of the gods... try the sagi board http://sagittarius.student.utwente.n...ghlight=sirius |

| I've never shot the Sirius, but I've handled one. It's *very* heavy, so may not suit every archer, especially one who's coming down in draw weight. |

| Just a word of warning before travelling to Perris Check they have it in stock, in my experience of Perris archery they do not carry a massive stock, also in my case when trying to get them to order me my bow in, they were fairly unenthusiatic and led me on for several weeks resulting in me finally obtaining my bow from Ardvark Archery!! with regards to the bow never had the chance to try it best of luck Joe

| A chap at our club has one (had it since Xmas I think). He is very pleased with it (apart from an anoying rattle from one of the limb fixing/adjustment screws/bolts). Personally I think it is a heavy riser (but Greenhorns always were). Also, the grip is very basic in finish and design (it's a wood grip). He hasn't got the carbon elipse limbs. Simon |

| I've had a play with a Sirius with the double curve carbon ceramic limbs. To be honest I didn't really notice the weight but I shoot a heavy bow anyway. It sat nicely in my hand, The limbs were very smooth and it didn't feel like I was holding 38lbs (I was shooting about 35/36 at the time). You might want to PM "peeptheduck", as he shoots one.

| Its interesting what you say about mass in the hand. The Sirius is listed as 1350g, W+W nxpert at 1400g, Hoyt Aerotec 1350g, and Samick Masters at 1300g. I think its the draw weight he is struggling with, so he's getting into bad habits, rather than the physical mass. I'll weigh his Nishi when I get home. Plus his current limbs weigh a tonne, so much fine wood and the tips shaped like 1960s Italian shoes, so maybe new fangled foam jobs will offset any increase. His main problem with his current kit is that it works on the principle of let-off of weight, and let down to its lowest the bow is much less efficient. If he changes his kit, he can start low and crank up, when he has ironed out his form problems. He's still a big strong chap, at 6'5", so I don't think he's needing a Fibrebow!

| Another thought with the Ellipse limbs...the engineer in me says they're not a smooth curve. And with the load in them...they're gonna snap. Surely...

| Several options really - If he loves Nishi, why not stay with Nishi? N-Products limbs (What Nishizawa are now) can still be had from Italian dealers if you have the financial clout. www.arcosportspigarelli.com (Flettenti) but they are 800+€ Cheaper option would be to check out some of the Dutch dealers for nice second hand stuff (Nishi were very popular in .NL) http://www.dutch-archery.nl/ and check out the 2nd hand list. Dutch Archery Specialist are also very reliable dealers - very knowledgable and won't sell you junk. Both options (especially the first) would impress the hell out of me Stretch |
