Paint

I painted my old riser and all the paint chipped off. What paint is suitable, will car paint work? Does anyone have any experience?

RE: Paint

Nope but maybe you would be better finding somewhere that would powder coat it for you?

RE: Paint

How much would that cost and how long would it take? I am leaving the country in 10 days.

Nope sorry, was just a suggestion, as my riser seems to be powder coated ratehr than painted maybe car paint would be good though.

RE: Paint

Yes car paint seems to have worked well. Now to test it with day to day abuse!

My good lady wanted her Hoyt GM recolouring some years back, I went to a local car-spray to see what could be done. I was told that it could, but possibly would not last. It would be better to have the riser powder coated. This we did in Grey/Black, The effect was great. This was around 3 years ago, I saw the bow the other week, it still looks as though it had been done yesterday. It took around 3 days &amp; cost little.</p>
