| Is it dying? Hey everyone,
Yesterday afternoon I went up to the field as I always do, popped a target out at 90 and started to shoot away. Conditions were perfect, no wind, no sun in my eyes, and I was feeling good.
I shot a couple of dozen and then my arrows started to drop straight down the centre of the face, 10, 9, 6, 4, 2, 1. I collected, adjusted my sight and shot again, and again the same thing happened. Lovely horizontal alignment, but every arrow dropping further than the last.
Somewhat frustrated I started to push and pull every part of my bow to check if anything had come loose, and fair enough the sight block where it attaches to the riser had worked loose. With relief of finding something, I tightened this and shot again, but still, my arrows were dropping.
I then got someone to watch my to check my anchor point was solid and I was not dropping the bow, it was confirmed that there was nothing obvious that I was doing wrong.
Fed up with this, I moved the Boss to 60, where I had to move my sight some 10 points lower than the normal mark to get correct alignment, same thing started to happen again, eventually after 2 hours it started to settle down leaving my sight some 15 points lower than usual. In fact it’s lower than where it used to be when I was shooting with ACCs, not my ACEs.
So what are your thoughts? I have recently had a new string, but I check the bracing height and its spot on where it’s supposed to be, I have checked the limbs for any cracks and I can't see any. I am at a loss...
