Winstar Riser Question

Hi Folks, just a quick question... does anyone know how to adjust the limb fittings on a winstar riser so i can get a couple more pounds out of the limbs. When using my bow yesterday i just felt it wasn't working me at all and seemed too light, any advice on adjusting the limbs tiller???? to get more poundage would be great..

Cheers folks

Steve

As KAP are a subsiduary of Win & Win, there is a very good chance that it will be adjustable in the same way as other Win & Win bows...see here for info..

might be best to get some advice from one of your coaches before winding limb bolts, you will also need to check bracing height and tiller + nocking point if you make any adjustments

Steve, if you can work out HOW to move the limb bolts and you do come down Sunday (don't move anything before then) I will help you get the tiller etc right (and explain what it is!)

It should tell you how in the booklet that came with the bow, or you could take it to your local dealer and he will do it for you!

Steve,

I shoot Winact and my son a Winstar, both adjust in the same way.

Loosen the lock screw with the supplied Allen key and adjust the limb bolt with the supplied pin spanner then re-lock the Allen key (very important as it does come loose easily).

Make sure that you adjust top and bottom equally and centre the dimple on the limb bolt head each time or you will be on the eccentric.

There are details in the handbook.

Steve,

I don't know if you are also a member of Sagittarius but there was a thread there recently that had an exploded drawing of the limb bolt system used on W&W/KAP bows:

http://sagittarius.student.utwente.n...pic.php?t=2776

BTW: Mind your knuckles when using the pin spanner... It is a **** design as there is not enough crank on the handle.

This instruction is only for the new winstar2 and winact. The onld winstar require you to untighten the boly on the archer's side of the riser then tighten the bolt on the other side to the required weight and finally tightened the archer's side bolt. Do remember that both the upper and lower weight bolt need to be tightened the same amount. It is preferable if you count the amount of trun that you put in each one. Finally, check tiller to see if it's ok.
