limb saver

hi i have just got a set of sims solid limb savers,have i got the wrong ones for a recurve bow

if they look like mushrooms no,
they stick onto the limbs near the top/bottem high/low enough that the string is not actually touching them with about 2cm clearance between them and the string they do quieten down the limbs but also slow the shot a little

do they look a bit like bicycle handle bar grips ? (without the hole through middle)
if so they`re for compound split limbs and sit between the limbs

it has instructions to fit on a compound but not a recurve,where should i stick them...on the bow that is

they stick onto the limbs facing the string, roughly 6-8inches from the limb tips
so that there is roughly 2cm clearance between the mushrooms and the string

only know this much cause i had some on my previous limbs
and they did quieten them down quite well and softened the shot too
