Thanks. I've had a serious look at the price of setting up and for a Kap II/Striker Liimb and basic (string, sight, arrows, quiiver)
I'd be looking at £280 minimum. I think I'm going to wait a month. hold myself back and save up for the bow and membership.

Thanks for all the advice.

Honestly I would go the £60 route - spend some time with the wooden bow (remember we'll be going indoors soon anyway) and jazz arrows and by the time the outdoor season comes around its nearly first beginners course time again and you should be able to recover some of your outlay by selling the bow on to the next batch of beginners.

I'd get the bracer/tab/quiver etc from targetcraft on ebay because they are very cheap.

Let me know if you are planning a shopping spree and I'll go with you if you like.

Hi,

Just to change tack a wee bit have you thought about going down the Stylist Rental Option - £3.50 per week gets you their saphire bow. Means that as you need you can change limbs without the cost.

Thanks.
I did look at renting and to start it would be around £100 (inc deposit, postage and 12weeks rental)

I've gone for the Wooden Take down option. The bow has cost £55, and the complete kit from Aim4Sport in Sandy only cost £110 to get me started.

Aim4Sport also allow you to exchange your limbs for different size and poundage for 6 months
