| RE: Long rod setup I've got... let me see... a Beiter long rod, with 3 end weights, a pair of Fomax twins (with asymmetrical weights) & a little Fomax top rod. I couldn't tell the difference between the beiter twins & the fomax ones, so I bought the cheaper ones. (I spend a good 1/2 day at Quicks trying everything they had & then bought what felt best. I'd suggest that you do the same - the matched set _would_ have been OK in my case, but the top rod felt good & that's not a beiter, so I'd have missed out if I'd gone for colour coordinated) |

| RE: Long rod setup I have a beiter 28" longrod with beiter twins and a 3" beiter extender. I found this setup much more secure and lighter overall than the Cartel longrod and twins I had before. A lot of money, but well worth it IMO. Dave |

| RE: Long rod setup Cartel longrod, cartel twins, cartel extender, cartel v-bar. To me they're just weight on a stick so I bought cheaper ones. For shock absorbtion I use a few doinkers on the rods and limb savers. I admit, I would buy Beiter if I had the money, but while I am a student it shall just be a weight on a stick.

| Bought a Doinker set up. D2 carbon elite with suppressor. Made an adapter for the doinker end (5/16ths unf to bsf to 1/4"bsw) and fitted the cartel rubber end, to act as a non slip end indoors. The groupings are slightly tighter and I can only improve. Won the club metric fita 25m indoor medal with it last friday. |

| 6" extender, 10" twins with doinkers (old ones - dinky doinkers!) and a 34" longrod with two weights and a doinker (when it turns up in the post). All Easton stuff. Had Beiter stuff before this, can't tell the difference in feel but this feels a lot more controllable in the wind. |

| However Long Shirt's old Beiter was before i swapped it for my long one that was too big and made my compound uncomfortably heavy, Apollo 12in twins - because I couldn't afford to spring for Beiters. Beiter 90/0 V-Bar, no extender (yet - don't really need it). 2 Lumps of metal on the end of the Longrod to make it balance a bit better (and to counteract the weight of the tec bar).

| 35", mate. Your old one was 41", but I chopped it to 38" so it would fit in my case... |

| Indoor setup has a 41" Beiter, 14" Beiter twins, 5" Beiter extender and 90 x 17 V-bar. Outdoor setup has 30" X10 (with around 4" of weights), 10" X10 twins, 4" X10 extender, 90 x 17 V-bar and a 10" X10 bottom rod. |
