Maximum draw length on a 68" bow?
Hi, what do you think the maximum draw length can be on a 68" bow?

I shoot 30 1/4", and currently have 70" QIL limbs, but I am thinking of going back to a 68".

This really depends on the limbs. Difference limbs have varying amounts of "stack".
68" limbs are good upto 31" but then again, a poor pair of limbs may stack (poundage increases expedentially) over 28".

Expendentially?!?! I wonder what that could mean. Perhaps it could be the verb 'to do something in the style of something which used to be a pendent.....'

Stick with 70s. The speed difference will be minimal, and the odds are the limbs won't be as smooth to draw.

Its a good question... I have a 32.5" draw, and tried some 68" borders the yesterday.
They didnt appear to stack, and the shot felt good.
Would I be foolish to try other 68" set-ups ?

Yeah i knew what exponentially meant (i'd be in serious trouble if i didn't considering i'm in my second year of a degree in mathematics at Imperial!), was just being pedantic....

Gib - Not foolish at all, the Borders are an exception to the rule in many cases. Try everything! I have Sid's e-mail address at Border Bows if your interested, he will quite happily discuss all these things with you.

I had the same decision - 68" for better speed and cast or 70" for better stability. I chose 68" for my Helix Seb Flute SHC combination and its working well so far.
