squeaky Arrows!!

Recently changed from my usual ACEs to Aluminiums for indoor shooting. At practice last night they seemed to get squeakier and squeaker on my arrow rest.

Is there a way of silencing these, or shall I just let them squeak in my opponents ear?

Best way I've found is to clean both the arrows and the rest (and clicker if appropriate)... that usually works for me.

My carbon arrows sometimes squeak outdoors. It is usually to do with the plunger getting dirty. I scrape it with my fingernail and wipe it with my finger. The natural oils in my finger usually stops the squeaking.

The cure for the squeak depends on the arrows and the rest or sometimes a tight nocking point.Or the button;(thanks Grant) What rest are you using?

2 simple solutions.

1 Give your arrow, button and clicker a good clean.

if that dont work

2 Give all the contact areas a coat of Liquid lubricant and wipe away the excess. I always find Liquid Teflon works wonders.

If none of these work just enjoy the fact that the noise will drive your opponents completely mad.

Mr Sheen works wonders too! It also reduces carbons sticking in new, damp bosses!

So does back to black. But dont spray the whole shaft like my dad did once. "Youll never get them out of the target" I said. "Nah it will be alright........um..........you were right" Stupid alert!

My A/C Navs and Mag Rest have always squeaked.
lol, I know when I'm aproaching full draw after the third eeeek, lol.

Definitely the button is the biggest source for me. When I use my Shibuya button with the gold tip they squeak like mad. The cheap plastic tip burtton is silent, but the carbon arrows wear a groove in it fairly quickly.
