D75..

anyone know anything about d75 string??
have been offered a couple of hand made strings to try in this material, i of course said yes..
has any one shot with this stuff does it have much creep stretch etc
all comments welcome.

I've not used it, but I'm reliably informed that it's like Fast Flight but with less creep.

Absolutely right T,J, It's good stuff, try it for your self, all the hype about Angel and BCY, D75 is good!!!

All my strings are made of this I treid and liked and my bow sound good.less creep than fastflight. Give it a try and see wot you fink

I use it all the time, like FastFlight, but softer.
i have never noticed creep from FastFlight, but then I'm not even sure what creep is (strech perhaps?) neither have crept that I have experienced.

D75 is rock solid - does not stretch and yet is soft enough to not make for shock when shooting.

All string materials stretch (with the possible exception of liquid crystal based fibres - Vectran?).
There's normal 'springy' stretch - both the sort that happens on each shot, and the sort that happens over time while you shoot - this is recoverable stretch. That is to say, the string will be the same length each time you get it out of the box, it just doesn't stay that way while shooting. Most strings do this. Dacron more than the fastflight/dyneema materials.

Then there is creep. That is unrecoverable stretch, where the string elongates over time, and the only way to get the string back to the correct length is to twist it. Most strings do this as well, but again fastflight/dyneema do it much less than dacron. HTH

I am unable to measure the creep on my strings, I set them at the start of a shooting session and measure again at the end, it is unchanged according to my bracing height guage.

Are you talking about very small creep - that is not measureable (but is theoretical) or am I just not paying close enough attention to my string?

D75 doesn't have much wax in it compared to Fastflight and doesn't need rubbing to melt it into shape (circular cross section).

Apart from the suppleness of D75 they shoot in a very similar way from my point of view - maybe I'm not as critical of my string as I should be.
