See, we'll make an optimist of you yet

6" Ace extender - buy a 4" extender heat both ends, remove fittings discard useless little silly bit of tube. Buy 34" rod - cut 6" off the rod - rebuild extender. Re-build sensible 28" rod (or shorten to 24 or 26 if you like)

Ahh easy

The problem there is it involves cutting down a 34" ACE longrod, and I like the feel of the 34" one.

Hence why I try to get the 6" ones off eBay, because I don't want to cut up my spare twins either...

SL Ranking:

Method 1: Get a 34in off eBay. Chop out 6in, leaving you with 28in. Resell on ebay.

Method 2: Get a 34in off eBay. Chop out 6in. Chop remaining bit of ACE in half. Remove important bits from twins. Make 14in twins as an experiment. Sell on ebay for profit ("These were impossible to get hold of and thus very rare", or somesuch).

Method 3 - the General Lee approach: Shoot back out of 320 ACE, x4. remove the best 6in you can get hold of. Tape together. Go to hardware store. Epoxy in two bolts purchased from said hardware store. Et Voila.

Lateral thinking.

Mmmm 6" extender and 34" longrod - now that IS a big one. Just as well you don't shoot Beiter! I personally find anything more than 26" long an wobbly

At the moment 34" longrods are going cheaper than 6" extenders and I have enough of the other bits kicking around. (And why is it that every 6" extender on ebay is silver!?!)

I used to. 6" extender, 38" Beiter. Had to be 38" because 41" didn't fit in the case...

You're clearly looking in a different place to me, I haven't seen a 34" longrod in a while... And they're all silver because people have twigged that the black ones are better
