Shaft wraps

Does anyone know if shaft wraps have been used on recurve arrows? Im guessing they have and they dont cause any problems but im just curious.

I have started using "socx" arrow wraps. They are available from Bowsports, but if you go direct to thier website in Nederlands (do a google search) than you have a much greater choice.

Before you say "but you shoot a compound", a recurve archer has also started using the same wraps and the only effect that she has found is that the arrows are easier to see from the shooting line, and they look "cool".

Thats all I needed to hear. I know some one who can get them made which are better than the ones you can buy at the mo. I just need to get hold of him. Im after custom designs.
Alternatively I will be looking into getting some from Arrow Wraps Unlimited. This is a us based company and they can do any wraps. Not just arrows but apparently limb wraps and even stab wraps.

Now I know recures dont suffer with them then I will defonatly look into getting some made up. Wicked.

I have just started using wraps on my ACC 3-04 s since I seem to have to refletch quite often (change of fletchings, damage, general wear ...). On close inspection the carbon was getting worn - especially one shaft where the carbon had worn away completely to expose the aluminium - now retired (but it was about 14 years old!).
They seem to work as well as ever and gave me a second best ever Portsmouth score last Sunday. Also convenient for initialing and numbering.
Next time however I will get some sheets of signwriters vinyyl (off ebay) and cut to size myself rather than paying exorbitant sums for ready made types.

No problem

I just use plain black vinyl, only to protect to carbon.

www.archeryshop.ie sell soxs and can get them custom designed. Look in their arrow section.

I started using wraps outdoor this year on my aces, I cut them in half though as they were a bit too long, certainly made calling the arrows a lot easier didn't notice any problems with arrow spine changing either
