| Bracing Height? Hi I have a Hoyt Aerotec 25" Riser and Hoyt G3, 40lb, short limbs. What is the correct bracing height? Many thanks. Cam |
| depending upon the age of the riser...the manuals available here give the bracing height (recommended).. T.

| At the Yorkshire Junior Squad the coach said you should brace it so that there is about threequarters to one inch of the string grooves showing on the limbs - my Matrix/G3 medium came up with 22.4 cm to the button using that rule of thumb. (not a Junior - just a parent)

| bracing height as stated in other replys these are starting settings when tuning the bow try adjusting by a few turns on the string to get quieter / best grouping its a bit of an experiment to see what suits you the bow and the arrows you are using |

| Cam there will be loads of threads about this, My set up is the same but with a hoyt avalon plus, and my bracing height is about 23cm to the button, but you really need to start low adjust each time with a few more twists and wait until you get to a sweet spot by listening to the sound of your bow. then as you go past this spot the bow will become louder, now go back to the nice quiet sound and then you`ve got your bracing height right. hope this helps SS ![]() |

| I would advise starting High end of the advised Brace height range, there tends to be two points at which you get a relative quiet release of nock from string, the low one will gain cast, the higher one will gain clearance and as clearance is more crucial to good arrow flight and tighter groups that is the one I'd select 100% of the time.

| Many thanks to you all. My Hoyt manual indicates that the Fx limbs should have a different brace height, and the supplier of my G3's recommended that I use the same "settings" as for the Fx's. I will have a look at the 2005 Pdf Manual and also tune for noise. Thanks again. Cam |
