Brace Height

Hi, I tried out my 34# Samick Agulla for the first time yesterday, was great compared to this 23# beginner bow that I had been using. I got a new string for it and kept on twisting it until it made a minimum twang. I’ve just found out that the correct brace height should be 21cm – 23.5cm.

Is this measured from the arrow rest to the string?

I have always measured mine (not a samick tho') to the button.

I'm not saying that this is right, but it gives me a static reference point.

I measure my matrix from the handle (grip...whatever you want to call it) to the string.

The throat of the grip is usually pretty much straight under the button. FWIW I just use the button as a reference point: I'm only using it so I can set the bow up each time, the distance that I set it to being decided by "feel" & trial & error.
