| It's an archery supplies manufacturer (not Abercrombie & Fitch, as someone at my club once thought!) They're here - http://www.aenf-products.nl/

| A&F tab are great - I started with one, I jst had to make a slight alteration to the platform as one corner used to stick into my finger a bit. ![]()

| Yeah but any alterations are quite easy as the platform is plastic. if you need to alter them I find a heated (glowing red) stanley knive blade works really well. The phrase hot knife and butter come to mind.

| I shot A&F for a loooooong time (I still have my two competition tabs as spare spares ) - I cut off the hook which goes over the finger, and the part of the ledge which protrudes forward (as I wanted a deeper grip), opened up the arrow gap in the faces and it was good to go(!). Bowsports sells the A&F anchor tab here: http://www.bowsports.com/acatalog/Bo...oves_ 16.htmlI've since moved to a Cavalier Elite (because I wanted a decent cordovan face), which has to be the best feeing tab I've ever shot so far (ledge but no finger spacer). Couldn't get on with the Spigarelli tabs... I've tried a few others too with not much success. Schme - I disagree with the comment "they are all good" - there are some really naff tabs out there and it really is the most personal piece of kit you'll ever own (apart from your bowgrip!)Trick is to try as many as you can - see if your club mates will loan you some to play with.

| Well I was trying to be nice but never mind. I shot cavalier and all I got was blisters on my fingers. That is the most comon problem with em. Plus as its all metal you can modify them so if you do get a cavi you better make sure ti suites you.

| My point exactly - the Cav is not for everyone either. You can certainly modify them with a dremel (or similar), not as easy as the A&F though!

| I spent the last year shooting with a basic leather tab before changing to a A&F platform tab (after a talking to by my coach), and all i can say is that my drawlength is more consistant, my release is better and my groupings are tighter. So i would recommend changing to a platform asap and see how much better you shoot after getting used to it. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Important point hidden in Murray's posting. When you find a tab you like, dont just buy *one*. Always get at least two and shoot with all of them so that they all get "shot in." There is a point in every archers career when you stand on the shooting line in an important competition and realise you have dropped your tab somewhere on the trek back from the taaaargets. If you always have a shot in spare that you can shoot with confidence with, its not a big deal. |
