Tabs

I’ve been using a basic leather finger tab and am sure its time to upgrade to a better quality tab. Can any one recommend a decent tab?

ummmm how long is a piece of string?

lots of tabs out there for you to try, and you really do need to try them, even if it's only seeing how they fit in your hand.

personally i love my spigarelli confort tabs, i shoot them RH and LH, and you can get replacement faces for them, and i find them very user friendly - no sharp bits poking out and unnecessary screws and fittings.

and of course it depends on what style you're shooting, ie barebow, normal target recurve, limited compound etc etc.

Although I haven't been involved in this great sport for long I started with an Angel tab and find it excellent.

Good fit, excellent feel but maybe a bit expensive.

The usual advice holds good - try a few and see what you like.

I use a A&F Platform Tab and it serves me well. They are about £9 - £10 so not too expensive.

started with a blackwidow multilayer leather tab ( very comfy piece of kit ) about 4 months ago and just recently ( last fortnight ) changed to a cordovan smart tab from merlin only £10 odd.

more comfortable but i still cant get used to the platform, tried a few plat tabs and they get on my nerves may just leave it off.

Finger spacer was the main bonus though, have a terrible tendency to pinch the arrow so it was a must.

The best thing to do is go down to your local dealer, or look online, and check out the tabs they stock.

Check agaisnt your budget, looks and also how it feels. You cant see how it feels unless you go down a shop so thats the first thing to do.

I use A&F and its cheap but effective and I also have an angel which is the most comfortable tab I have ever used but a bit expensive. If this is to be your first tab then just get down the shop and go for the most comfotable one. Tabs is one of these things you cant really get advise for. Its very personal.

Its a make. If you ask a dealer about A&F they will show you. Simple but very effective Tab. I was told to use one of these by the Gb coaching team a few years ago. Expensive is not always the best.

Check out these tabs. It doesnt show the A&F but the best match is the JVD model but they are all good. It all depends on your hand shape to which one suites. Although the Angel is the smoothest feeling in the hand.
