| I would ask this in the compound forums - they may be able to answer it better.

| The Oneida does not behave like a compound. The way the tips move back and the path that the tips take on loose is more akin to a horse recurve bow than a compound, but horse recurves don't have stabs on them. |

| True, but in terms of overall length and reflex of riser it's more like a compound. And the letoff is a bit of a giveaway too...

| The let off is only there for a small protion of the power stroke, after that the compound part of the equation is gone.Plus its a Pro Eagle so zero reflex riser. |

| Either way, it is still more reflex than the average recurve (" 1.7" Earl Hoyt Deflex " or whatever it is) and so you're going to need less forward weight.

| Surely the fundamentals of stabilization will apply to both disciplines, initialy you could try trying to achieve a neutral balance or a tight rope walker set up by that I mean little or no forward rotation so that the bow string remains vertical throughout and after the shot for as long as possible.

| Thats about what I have now but I am concerned with the verticle position of the center of mass of the bow and its effect . |

| Just add more weight until you find what your after. The best results come from trial and error. Try adding weight to the long rod and/or removing weight from side rods and then if that gets close but not enough add a top rod (thread permitting). These style of questions come up all the time and the common answer is to try as may different set ups as possible untill you find one you prefer
