I have said before that Stylist bows do a rental scheme. These are absolutley top quality bows, and most of the archers on here have probably shot one at some time. It is only about £3.50 - £5 a week, and the most important thing is that you can swap your limbs when you want! So you can start with a light set to get your style then move up as many times as you want. You can then either buy the bow, or return it.

I discovered that not only do Stylist do their rental scheme, during which time they make changes and repairs as you need/want them, but after a year of renting you can put what you've paid already into actually purchasing the kit. (I don't know the exact details).

Apparently a number of archers at my club have used this rent+modify then buy system to get from ab initio to competitive level with a tuned bow that progressed as they did. Sounds like a fantastic idea, and one I'll be looking into in a month or so when I hit my 3 month mark.
