Don't buy until you finish the course, then go to a shop, or try at the club different weight limbs. Also take into account your size. In 6 months I guarantee you will be pulling more than you are now. Providing you're not married or taken ![]() ![]() .

| Personally I recon no one should buy gear for the first couple months of shooting but that obviously depends on how much you've practiced. I bought my gear 2 days ago and i've shot 5 rounds so far, but thats because I live in a household of archers and after a discussion from 3 grandmaster bowmen with 1 at olympic level. And I have the cash to spare.... I've seen several people having to sell gear at 50% price to the club cos they were in dept. Although all this said If you saw my first post's in this forum you's probably laugh and say what a ********. All I'm saying is think it over well don't get too heavy limbs, I'm comfortable with 36lbs but I'm gettin 34lbs challengers which can be adjusted +/- 10% or so. Also draw lenth could change. Seb. |

| I have had a reply from the club I intend to join. The club do have bows & arrows available on a first come first serve basis. The limbs would not fit the Winstar II riser. Whilst not a lottery winner, I can afford to buy the challenger carbon limbs (£108 from Merlin) and a set of 12 arrows that can later be sold, given away or discarded when draw weight & length increase. It's not as if I am going to change my kit every month..... though maybe.... I want to get used to the bow I intend to shoot all the time, it will become a good friend (hopefully). So back to draw weight. I will finish my course and be advised as to the recommended draw weight for my size and build (large & larger ) | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| draw weight i have been shooting for about 14 months. The inital wieght was 26 lb and has now increased to 30 lb. I would say go for the challanger limbs which can be bought for as little as 89 pound and can easily be resold when the time comes to upgrade | ||||||||||||||||||||||
