Vegas Face or lack of

I'm aiming to shoot a Vegas Comp in the near future, but having never shot one in the past I was hoping to get some practice this weekend.

The problem is the range I'm going to don't have any Vegas faces in (they've had them on order for some time). I have some 40cm and 80cm faces at home and wondered if I could cut and paste them to get a Vegas or something akin to a one.

Any ideas?

What u can try is cut the centre out and have a 20cm diameter with some bits left out to attach the pins to
Try hit the middle of it not sure what the size difference is but the gold is huge in comparison.

Hope that helped.

Seb.

Is the Vegas face the one with three centres in the shape of a triangle or in one vertical line?
I'm pretty sure the targets are numbered and need to be shot at in sequence.
Even if you don't have the right ones, it will be worthwhile getting used to the sequence. Many points will be lost if you shoot in the wrong order.

face one is bottom left
face two is top centre
face three is bottom right

Just shoot a normal FITA 18 Face???

Use either type but in Vegas you will get triangular ones.

The spots are numbered but you dont need to shoot them in any order, just one into each.

Remember, for compound, you are scoring the recurve 10 as a ten and the x as x.

The one I'm on about is the three in a triangle. I've seen that they are numbered but not so worried about that, more about changing the aiming point.

If the 40cm golds are too large I'm sure the range has the three in a row Fita faces available if this is more the size, I'll take some scissors and cut these up.

Not sure on the etiquette of Vegas shooting but have read on AI that the three in a row shooters often choose which target to shoot at, according to their own prefrences.

Well done vertek on 100 posts

lol was takin the **** actually. Should have seen my profile on www.overclock.net before it got deleted.

3 in a row are normally used or not?
but the 3 in a triangle are probably better for training.

Sorry about the sequence. However it would still be good preparation to get used to shooting one arrow in each spot and not three into one. Also the aiming at different spots needs a bit of getting used to.

3 in a row are used for Fita.
3 in a triangle are used for the vegas.
