...and as long as we're talking high-end sights: has anyone seen or tried one of these?

I believe it's Gehmann that makes them. Are they actually useful, or just an upscale toy for the gadget addicts (like me )? Not that I could actually afford one...

It's an interesting thing - I must admit that I am currently playing with the diameter of my sight ring.

I have one. I really like it. Wish I could shoot better with it, but it is not the sight that is the limiting factor.

You can buy it separately and mount it on most sight systems. Mine is currently on an Arten Europa (thereby just about doubling the cost of the total sight).

I have found times when scores are starting to dip, particularly as it was getting darker outdoors. I opened the iris a couple of clicks, and I started to group again.

Solid, reliable, not cheap, but easily adjustable.

I opted for a Seb Flute carbon sight. It's mid priced, extremely durable, and has plenty of positive adjustment. I then spent the rest of my pocket money on a Gehmann diopter sight ring. I think this is the dog’s kahoonas and well worth the money

another vote for the shibuya ultima from me, had it a few months and think it's a fantastic sight.

prefer the look of it over the sureloc range aswell...and as we all know, looks improve your scores...

What I really like in a sight is a rock solid and long extension arm with a lot of adjustment available so that I can shoot every distance with the maximum sight extension. My Petron D2 is Ok but it moves abot a lot and is not the most solid site.Plus it loses screws at a great rate. Hence looking at other sights and as Xmas is on the horizon, my othwr half wats to get me a new sight.
